Edgewood

The Edgewood neighborhood is beautifully adorned with some great schools, homes and parks. But after interviews with some inhabitants, It was found that it lacks a place to people to come together and interact with the community. 

Solution

Hoot is a community space designed in the heart of this neighborhood which lets the people spend time in nature with the people they love and allows them to take a break before going back to work. 

Problem 

Edgewood is an intown Atlanta neighborhood bound on the north by Dekalb Avenue, on the south by Memorial Drive, and on the east by Montgomery Street, Woodbine Avenue, and Rogers Street.

 

There are more than 3,000 households within the Edgewood Neighborhood. Edgewood is known for its historic Craftsman bungalows and eclectic housing stock nestled among legacy Post Oaks and Pecan trees replete with hoot owls, the neighborhood’s mascot.

Edgewood is a home for many new families who settled in this neighborhood for affordable housing and good schools 

Target Audience

Young Professionals

Diversity

The next largest group of inhabitants are young professionals who are looking for more recreational activities

It also happens to be a very diverse neighborhood with people from many different cultures and regions.
